Trinity Hall

Trinity Hall is a college of University of Cambridge, located near the centre of the city. Founded in 1350, Trinity Hall is one of the University's older colleges. Whilst many ancient buildings survive, perhaps the most memorable is the distinctive new Jerwood Library, located on the river, alongside [Garret Hostel Lane]?, one of the few bridges across this section of the river which are open to the public.

The college predates the more famous Trinity College, and is a quite independent institution.

In the 1720's, Trinity Hall installed milestones along various important routes leading from the city, indicating the distance to various towns. Many of these milestones survive, and bear the college's distinctive monochrome "croissant" crest.
