Note: The March/April 2011 issue of the Cambridge CAMRA newsletter [http://www.cambridge-camra.org.uk/ale/349/pub-news.html reports] a change of ownership at the Burleigh Arms, so our comments below may be out of date.

Clean-looking, modern-looking pub to the east of the city centre.

As of August 2007, food is served all day, noon until 9pm. The menu looks quite comprehensive (photo), covering all the usual pub food standards.

Light bites start from £2.50 for soup of the day, and there's a wide choice of sandwiches from £2.85. A three-egg omelette with your choice of filling costs £4.50; burgers also start at £4.50. Jacket potatoes cost £4 or £4.50, and mains range from £4.50 for sausage and chips to £11 for surf and turf (sirloin steak with wholetail scampi). Pizzas (from £4.80) are served until 10:30pm, to eat in or take away.

They also do brunch and Sunday roast, both including a vegetarian option.

They have a car park and a patio garden. The Local Secrets review linked below says they have Belgian beer as well as real ale.

In addition they have a large projection screen in one bar and TVs in the other bar and regularly show the football, and possibly also other sports. It seems quite popular when matches are on, but the service is still quick and friendly.
