CB2 Bistro on Norfolk Street has a little something for everyone. Their food is excellent, with a menu full of fixed items ranging from bar snacks, sandwiches and salads to burgers and pasta, plus a selection of "Bistro Specials": high quality starters and main courses which change regularly. Recent additions that we've tried include Thai Spiced Mussels, Tenderloin Pork and Rib Eye Steak, all of which were excellent. There are several vegetarian options, but I'm afraid I didn't notice what was available for vegans. Full menu is online, although the website is still showing the previous specials list.

In addition to dining you can also just pop in for a tea or coffee, of which there is an extensive choice. They offer free newspapers, and having started life as an internet cafe they also have free wireless access. They have a selection of board games, for which a small charge is made in order to pay for their upkeep. Plus they have lots of books for sale, regularly showcase the work of local artist on the walls, and have a regular acoustic music night on Wednesdays.

Recently they've opened a new paved cafe area outside, with some nice landscaping, planters, plenty of tables and a brightly coloured awning. Despite the traffic noise from East Road and the inclement weather of the british summer it seems to be very popular.
