Clare Hall is a graduate college of the University of Cambridge, founded in 1966. It comprises around 145 postgraduates and 125 fellows. Based on Hershel Road, the main college buildings are a bizarre collection of red brick buildings, akin to the nearby Robinson College, but with a less defensive aesthetic. The college also incorporates a number of large, late Victorian neo-Tudor houses, characteristic of the Grange Road area. Clare Hall has recently constructed a second court at the end of Herschel Road.

The college is often said to have the finest food of all Cambridge colleges.

Clare Hall is a private institution, far from the main visitor routes, and offers little to the typical Cambridge tourist.

The narrow road to the south of Clare Hall, between the College and the University Rugby Ground, is Old Rifle Range Road; it is private, and not a right of way.
