Pub on Regent Street, next door to Charlie Chan.
\nTaken over by the Knight Pub Company and refurbished into a more \"fashionable\" venue around the end of 2005. It has very little natural light except at the very front, and there's a particularly dimly-lit sofa area at the back.
\nDJs tend to appear around the weekend to make life more interesting. Not a great place for real ale, but serves decent cheese with their bread and soup.
\nOn a September 2010 visit, a 175ml (\"small\") glass of white wine was £3.50. They did have two real ales on their four handpumps (one was Thwaites Original, not sure of the other). Everyone except me was wearing a suit (this was around 5pm on a Wednesday), and most people were vertical-drinking near the bar, even though there were free tables.
\nFood served noon-3pm and 6pm-9pm every day, according to their website as of October 2010. A blackboard spotted outside in September 2007 advertised home-made stonebaked pizzas, but I'm not sure they still do these. As of October 2010 they seem to specialise in Pieminister pies and mash.
\nAccessibility: Small step up to get in. Step-free to the bar, seating area, and ladies' once you're in.
