A large pub, proud of its cocktails, on Quayside with a nice view over the river to Magdalen from its window tables.
There are several pages of cocktails in the menu, £5.50 except champagne-based ones £7.75; all the traditional ones, and some interesting-sounding extras like the Banoffee Martini. £2.75 non-alcoholic smoothies. £1.50 off cocktails weekday evenings 5-7.
A self-confessed 'family restaurant', it's usually heaving during the day at weekends, and the bar staff outnumbered the customers when I popped in on a Wednesday evening.
Exterior tables with awning and patio heaters for smokers; piped music inside.
