Greene King pub on Regent Street.

On a September 2010 visit, there were four real ales available, all from Greene King brands — Hardy and Hansons Olde Trip (£1.40/half), St Edmunds Ale, Greene King IPA, and Old Speckled Hen. Two other handpumps had the clips turned around (one was St Austell Proper Job), and a board mentioned others coming soon (including St Austell Tribute).

They have a reasonably-sized (seats about 24) conservatory area at the back and a patio and garden beyond that ("heated [...] for smokers and non-smokers to enjoy", according to a blackboard seen in August 2007).

As of September 2010, food is served 11am-10pm every day. They used to do pizza and tapas (as of August 2007), but visiting in January 2010 we didn't notice a pizza or tapas menu. The menu we did see was quite extensive, with fairly standard modern pub fare. The onion rings were tasty, and my jacket spud with beans was fine, but my friend's burger was very disappointing: the meat was overcooked, and she left most of it. -- Eleanor Blair

According to a sign seen outside in September 2010, quiz night is Monday from 8pm.

Accessibility: Small ridge to get in, and then there's a couple of steps down to get to the bar and main seating area, but it's step-free through to the conservatory and garden from there.
