Historical version 2 of Unicorn, Cherry Hinton (view current version)

The Unicorn was a pub in Cherry Hinton (not to be confused with the pub of the same name in Trumpington). According to the Nov/Dec 2011 issue of the Cambridge CAMRA newsletter, it has now closed and the owners, Greene King, have put in a planning application to convert it to residential.

The information below is retained for people who want to know what it used to be like.

Pub in Cherry Hinton (not to be confused with the pub of the same name in Trumpington).

There are at least two distinct spaces inside. The one to the left of the bar has a pulldown screen and projector. There's a paved beer garden outside with a number of picnic benches.

They have three handpumps, at least one of which normally has Greene King IPA on, but on Kake's September 2010 visit this had just run out. Strongbow was £1.75/half. A large packet of Quavers was 70p; they also had other exciting snacks including Brannigans crisps, beef Hula Hoops, Scampi Fries, etc. '80s music was playing.

A sign seen outside in September 2010 promised live music every Friday from 8:30pm.

Accessibility: Two steps up to get in. Think it was step-free through to the ladies'.
